IN RE:
HB2075 by Shelton (Relating to limitations on the number of courses that students may drop under certain circumstances at certain public institutions of higher education.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend sections of the Education Code as it relates to the number of courses that students may drop under certain circumstances. Currently institutions of higher education, including public technical institutes, public junior colleges, public senior colleges, or universities, medical or dental units, and public state colleges, may not permit a student to drop more than six courses unless certain conditions are met. The bill would remove this requirement as it relates to public technical insitutes, public junior colleges, and public state colleges. Provisions of the bill would be implemented within current resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
