No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure relating to the impact of the presence of certain peace officers on the admissibility of certain statements made by children.  The bill would make a slight adjustment to the admissibility in a criminal case of certain statements made by child victims.  To the extent the bill would amend court proceedings, no increase in judicial workloads or fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
