No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend several sections of the Water Code relating to increased oversight and accountability for water supply or sewer service corporations, including requirements for the nomination and election of directors and independent election auditors, and audit requirements.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.
