No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code and require the Texas Veterans Commission and the Department of State Health Services to work with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to propose the establishment of a veteran’s hospital in the Rio Grande Valley region. It is assumed that any additional costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources.
