No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill specifies that any laboratory that performs a serum creatinine test on a sample from a person 18 years of age or older, at the discretion of a physician, shall also calculate and include in the reported results the person’s estimated glomerular filtration rate if the lab has all of the relevant clinical information about the person to calculate the rate. The Department of State Health Services does not anticipate any fiscal impact associated with the bill.
