The bill would amend the Government Code and provides that any funds recovered by the Attorney General’s Office as civil penalties pursuant to an action under the Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act are to be credited to the judicial fund for certain approved programs providing civil legal services to the indigent. It is assumed that any costs associated with implementation of the bill would not be significant.
