No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends the Occupations Code to allow graduates of an American Veterinary Medical Association listed school employed in an accredited post-Doctor of Veterinary Medicine training program to be eligible for a special license if the graduate also passes the jurisprudence section of the licensing examination.

Based on the analysis of the Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished utilizing existing resources.
