No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code regarind the use of a description of employment in determining the safety and appropriateness of a return to employment by an injured employee. The bill would require the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) to create a form to be used by the employer and treating doctor. The bill would grant TDI rulemaking authority as necessary to implement the provisions of the bill. Based on the analysis provided by TDI, any costs associated with the implementation of this bill could be absorbed within existing resources.
