No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Section 43.056 of the Local Government Code to require a municipality to create a service plan to provide for maintenance and landscaping public rights-of-way in an area that has been annexed by the municipality that is comparable to those available to public rights-of-way in the municipality.

Costs to municipalities to maintain a comparable level of maintenance and landscaping would depend on the individual areas annexed by a particular municipality.
