IN RE: | HB2755 by Truitt (Relating to the delinquent payment by an alcoholic beverage retailer of an account for liquor.), As Introduced |
The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code allowing wholesale dealers to report retailers delinquent in payment for an account for liquor to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) by electronic transmission. The bill would also allow a wholesale dealer to sell liquor to a retailer delinquent in payment for an account for liquor who has subsequently paid in full but has not yet had the delinquent account cleared from TABC’s records. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) anticipates no significant fiscal impact to their agency.
