No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require a law enforcement agency or police department that first begins to commission, appoint, or employ officers on or after September 1, 2009, to submit to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education upon creation of the agency or department certain information regarding the need, funding, and planned operations and policies of the agency or department.
