No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code relating to the authority of an administrative law judge to order the release of certain information relating to a child abuse and neglect investigation. The bill would allow administrative law judges to order the disclosure of certain information relating to child abuse or neglect that is otherwise confidential. To the extent the bill would amend court procedure, the rules change is not anticipated to increase the workload of the courts. The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a two-thirds vote from both houses, otherwise the bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
