No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to authorize a hospital to charge a retrieval or processing fee, not to exceed $50, and the actual cost of mailing, shipping, or otherwise delivering copies of records if the requested records are stored on digital or other electronic medium and the requesting party requests delivery in digital or electronic medium, including electronic mail.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
