No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill amends Transportation Code, Chapter 521 to state the record of a license holder who is employed as a peace officer, fire fighter, or emergency medical services employee of this state, a political subdivision of this state, or a special purpose district may not include information relating to a traffic accident that occurs while the license holder was driving an official vehicle in the course of official duties. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.
The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact from the bill.
