No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to prohibit a peace officer from using a stun gun against an individual and to prohibit a law enforcement agency from purchasing a stun gun between the effective date of the bill (January 1, 2010) and the expiration date of the added article (January 1, 2011).
