No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would allow state funds disbursed under Chapter 19 of the Election Code to be used to defray expenses of registrars’ offices in connection with voter registration, including additional expenses related to the employment of temporary voter registration personnel for not more than 39 weeks in a state fiscal year. The bill would be effective September 1, 2009.
