IN RE:	HB3076 by Deshotel (relating to a parenting and paternity awareness program used in the health curriculum for public schools. ), Conference Committee Report

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would have a minor fiscal implication for the operations of the TEA related to the requirement to evaluate local programs and curriculum and distribute information regarding these programs and materials to other schools. The agency is expected to handle this cost within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.

School districts could incur costs if they choose to develop their own materials or purchase materials for the parenting and paternity awareness curriculum instead of using the curricula provided by the Office of the Attorney General.
