HB3173 by Allen (Relating to the statewide plan for delivery of services to public school students with disabilities and resources for teachers of public school students with special health needs.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require school districts to provide certain training, information, and assistance from trained personnel to a teacher who instructs a student with a disability in a regular education setting.

The bill would require that school health services provided to a student with a disability be provided by a school nurse or other qualified and trained personnel.

The bill would require the Texas Education Agency and the Health and Human Services Commission to coordinate to establish an Internet web site providing resources for teachers of students with special health needs. It is anticipated that any associated costs could be absorbed within existing resources.
