HB3239 by Quintanilla (Relating to the creation of legislative committees to study proposals on the conduct of gaming in this state.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill creates the House Gaming Legislation Review Committee and the Senate Gaming Legislation Review Committee.  The committees are to review, evaluate, and recommend legislative proposals to authorize gaming in this state in counties that by local option election approve the conduct of gaming in the county.  Each committee shall conduct hearings in the state and report their findings to the Governor and both houses of the legislature.

Both committees are abolished and the Act expires on January 2, 2011.
