HB3281 by Chavez (Relating to eligibility for a grant of money from the Texas Enterprise Fund.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibit an entity from receiving grants from the Texas Enterprise Fund if the United States Secretary of the Treasury has purchased troubled assets from the entity or if the entity has received funds under the Troubled Asset Relief Program.  The bill would be effective immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds or on September 1, 2009.
