No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow certain members of the news media to be exempt from the rule which prohibits wireless communication devices and mechanical or electronic means of recording images or sound within 100 feet of a voting station.  The bill would be effective September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
