No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prohibits drilling oil or gas wells in the unincorporated area of a county within 500 feet from an established residence. Based on current Railroad Commission rules which prohibit wells from being located less than 467 feet from a property line, no significant fiscal impact is expected as a result of the bill's passage.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
