IN RE:	HB3429 by Gutierrez (relating to certain program and reporting duties of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, formerly known as the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, to administer the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program and the Better Living for Texans Program. Texas AgriLife Extension Service would be required to make presentations and provide reports regarding the programs.

Texas AgriLife Research would be able to absorb any costs associated with implementing the
provisions of the bill within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
