IN RE:	HB3672 by Harper-Brown (Relating to the disclosure of personal information under the Motor Vehicle Records Disclosure Act; providing a penalty.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code relating to allowable disclosure and use of personal information obtained by an agency in connection with a motor vehicle record and would create as a misdemeanor offense if a person requests personal information from a person who obtained the information in compliance with statute and misrepresents the requestor's identity or make a false statement to the person in connection with the request. The punishment would be a fine not to exceed $25,000.

Based on analysis by the Department of Public Safety, no significant fiscal impact is anticipated.
