No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code, Chapter 662 by adding public security officers to the list of the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) officers who can earn holiday compensatory time for holidays that fall on the weekend. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

DPS and TPWD indicate no significant fiscal implication is anticipated for either agency.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
