No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code relating to the requirement to wear safety apparel and seat belts while operating certain off-highway vehicles.  To the extent the bill would result in additional convictions and additional court costs or fines being ordered relating to failure to wear seat belts on certain off-highway vehicles, no significant fiscal implication to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department or the State is anticipated.  The bill would take immediate effect if the bill receives two-thirds the vote of all members.  Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2009.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
