No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require certain counties to issue a residential building permit to a persons/applicants submitting an application for the permit who meets certain criteria. The county would be authorized to charge a reasonable fee to cover the cost of administering the issuance of residential building permits under Subchapter B, Chapter 232, Local Government Code.
