FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB4043 by Callegari (Relating to notifications to certain purchasers of real property that may be located in an area subject to a certificate of convenience and necessity for water or sewer service.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Water Code to exempt the notification to purchasers of real property located within the corporate limits of a municipality that is served by a municipally owned utility that the property may be located in a certificated water or sewer service area, and therefore subject to certain costs or charges that must be paid before water or sewer service could be received.
