No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code relating to the discharge of firearms in certain navigable rivers or streams.  The bill would add Kleberg and Nueces counties to the list of counties in which the discharge of a firearm or shooting of an arrow from a bow in or on the bed or bank of a navigable river or stream is prohibited.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
