FISCAL NOTE, 81ST LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

May 2, 2009

TO:
Honorable Rene Oliveira, Chair, House Committee on Ways & Means

FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB4363 by Davis, Yvonne (Relating to incorrect or unequal appraised value of a property.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow a property owner or the chief appraiser to file a motion with the appraisal review board to change the appraisal roll to correct an error that resulted in an incorrect or unequal appraised value for the owner's property at any time prior to the date the taxes become delinquent. Current law only allows the motion to correct an error that resulted in an incorrect appraised value.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
