TO: | Honorable Patrick M. Rose, Chair, House Committee on Human Services |
FROM: | John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board |
IN RE: | HB4378 by Rose (Relating to obsolete or redundant reporting requirements applicable to health and human services agencies.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted |
The bill would direct the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission to provide a report on obsolete or redundant reporting requirements for health and human service agencies no later than December 1, 2009. After subsequent feedback by state officials and the public, the commissioner would issue a final recommendation. The bill would direct the 82nd Legislature to consider repealing the reporting requirements or amending statute to decrease the frequency of the reporting requirement.
It is unclear as to what impact, if any, this bill would have on reporting requirements contained in the General Appropriations Act.
