No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require voter registrars to monthly report voter registration cancellations to the Secretary of State (SOS) not later than the fifth day of each month.  The bill would require SOS to monthly report all cancellations to certain people listed in the bill.  The bill would be effective immediately if a vote of two-thirds is received or on September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

There could be some additional administrative costs to local entities to comply with the monthly reporting requirements; however, those costs are not anticipated to be significant.
