IN RE:
HB4438 by Kolkhorst (Relating to the transfer of certain state property from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to the Texas Forest Service.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) to the transfer to the Texas Forest Service 2.195 acres of property in Walker County, Texas to be used only for a purpose that benefits public interest of the state. The bill would require that if the property is used for any other purpose, ownership of the property will automatically revert back to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice has determined that costs associated with implementing the bill would not be significant.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
