IN RE:
HB4445 by Alvarado (Relating to the licensing and appointment of certain court interpreters.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to adopt rules regarding the licensing of court interpreters by a court located in a county with a population of 3.3 million or more and to establish the qualifications required for a license with a basic designation and for a license with a master designation.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicates duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
