IN RE: | HB4533 by Chavez (Relating to the conduct of charitable poker runs by certain nonprofit organizations; providing penalties.), As Introduced |
The bill would amend the Occupations Code to authorize a qualified nonprofit organization to conduct a charitable poker run in the manner specified by the bill. The bill would specify that all proceeds from a charitable poker run must be used for the charitable purposes of the organization and would provide for the use of a portion of the proceeds to provide prizes.
Based on the analysis of the Texas Lottery Commission, it is assumed the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the state.
