HB4621 by Deshotel (Relating to certain billing practices by businesses in this state.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Business and Commerce Code and prohibit a business from charging an extra fee for providing a paper receipt, unless the purchase is conducted through the internet. It is assumed that any additional costs associated with the implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
