The bill would propose a constitutional amendment authorizing garnishment of wages for court-ordered restitution in a criminal judgment. The bill would be the enabling legislation for House Bill 2373, if the bill is passed by the Eighty-first Legislature. The proposed constitutional amendment would be submitted to the voters at an election to be held November 3, 2009.
