IN RE: | HJR99 by Quintanilla (Proposing a constitutional amendment authorizing the legislature to legalize and regulate the conduct of gaming in this state in counties that by local option election approve the conduct of that gaming.), As Introduced |
The cost to the state for publication of the resolution is $90,882.
The resolution would propose an amendment to Section 47, Article III of the Texas Constitution allowing the Legislature to authorize and regulate gaming and that any gaming not otherwise permitted by law would require a local option election to authorize such gaming in a county.
Any fiscal implications would depend on enabling legislation.
The proposed amendment would be submitted to voters at an election to be held November 3, 2009.
