SB44 by Zaffirini (Relating to the participation of undergraduate students in funding awarded under the advanced research program.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow undergraduate students to participate in the advanced research program. Currently only faculty members can participate in the program. Under provisions of the bill, the Higher Education Coordinating Board would be required to post on the board's website the applicable amount of the program set aside for projects in which undergraduate students conduct or have a substantial role in conducting research. Any costs associated with this bill would be absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
