No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would allow undergraduate students to participate in the advanced research program. Currently only faculty members can participate in the program. Under provisions of the bill, an eligible institution must use a portion of the award to support basic research conducted by undergraduate students in connection with the project for which the award is made. Any costs associated with this bill would be absorbed within current resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
