IN RE:	SB202 by Shapleigh (Relating to provisional licensing of physicians to practice in underserved areas.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the provisional licensing of physicians to practice in underserved areas.  Based on the analysis of the Texas Medical Board, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

This bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
