IN RE:
SB220 by Nichols (Relating to the conversion of a nontolled state highway or segment of the state highway system to a toll project.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code to remove provisions regarding the authority of the Texas Transportation Commission to convert a nontolled state highway or segment of a state highway to a toll project.

Based on the analysis of the Texas Department of Transportation, it is assumed the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the state.

The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a vote of two-thirds of all members elected to each house or otherwise on September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
