No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code relating to a prohibition against certain court orders in a suit affecting the parent-child relationship during a parent's military deployment. To the extent the bill would amend court procedures relating to custody orders, the amendments are not anticipated to increase judicial workloads or result in a significant fiscal implication to the State. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
