No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to specify what information relating to a hearing, review, or appeal of a fire fighter or police officer is classified as privileged and confidential. The bill would also require a fire department or a police department to allow a fire fighter or a police officer to view the contents of the person's department file and, on request, to receive a copy of any document in the person's department file.
