IN RE: | SB480 by Carona (Relating to the authority of the Texas Transportation Commission to enter into a covenant for environmental remediation of real property owned by the Texas Department of Transportation.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted |
The bill would authorize the Texas Transportation Commission to enter into a restrictive environmental covenant for environmental remediation of real property owned by Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) if the remediation plan or work performed is approved by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) or a federal agency with the authority to approve the plan or work.
Based on the analysis of TxDOT and TCEQ, it is assumed the provisions of the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the state.
