SB501 by Carona (Relating to the civil consequences of certain convictions on a person who holds a commercial driver's license and of certain adjudications on the driver's license or permit of a child.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Transportation Code and Family Code by adding a lifetime disqualification applicable to holders of a commercial driver license, and adds a new penalty for the suspension or denial of a child’s driver license or permit for individuals involved in severe form of human trafficking. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2009.

The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to their agency.
