SB542 by Watson (Relating to the use of money from the Texas emerging technology fund for the research and development of clean energy.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require all money distributed from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund during fiscal years 2010 and 2011 to be used for research and development of certain clean energy less amounts awarded for biotechnology, medicine, life sciences, and amounts necessary to administer the fund.  This section would expire January 1, 2012.  The bill would be effective immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds or on September 1, 2009.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
