No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Public Utility Commission to adopt rule changes for the energy efficiency program. The bill would repeal the Subsection (b-2), Section 39.905 and Section 39.913 of the Utilities Code that required the Public Utility Commission to submit a report to the legislature no later than January 15, 2009.

The Public Utility Commission indicates it could absorb the costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
