IN RE:
SB671 by Shapleigh (Relating to information requested by a member, committee, or agency of the legislature under the public information law.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Public Information Act (PIA) provision that allows legislators to obtain for legislative purposes confidential information that would otherwise be protected under the PIA. The Office of the Attorney General anticipates any legal work resulting from the passage of this bill could be reasonably absorbed with current agency resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
