No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to add qualifications to be eligible for appointment as an associate judge or a visiting associate judge in certain family law proceedings defined by the provisions of the bill. A district or county attorney could enter into an agreement with a local criminal defense bar association regarding the implementation of the discovery procedures.
